Test Method:

• ICP-AES: Inductively Coupled Plasma -  Atomic Emission Spectrometry


* ICP-OES and ICP-AES are the same.

Applications:

• Analysis of trace amount of impurities with very low contents down to 1 ppb level;

• Good for metal and heavy elements, less accurate for light elements like C, N, O, etc.

Equipments:

• ICP-MS: Agilent 7700

• ICP-OES: Agilent 720

Sensitivity:

• ICP-MS, detection limit: 0.001 ppm (1 ppb);

• ICP-OES, detection limit: 0.02 ppm (20 ppb);

• Higher contents > 1000 ppm (=0.1%), please use XRF Testing Services.
